Blind Skateboards
Blind skateboards was formed by indisputably the most influential skateboarder of all time, Mark Gonzales, in 1989 under Steve Rocco’s World Industries distribution umbrella. The naming of the company was a dig at the Gonz’s former sponsor, Vision Street Wear – from ‘Vision’ to ‘Blind’, Mark wanted to do something the complete opposite to what was happening in the industry at the time. In 1991 Blind released Video Days, a skate video which is arguably cited more than any other by the pros who shaped modern street skating as one of the most influential skate videos all time. It featured parts from Mark Gonzales, Jordan Richter, Jason Lee, Rudy Johnson and a miniature Guy Mariano.
