Village PM
Village PM is redefining skate footwear. The Paris-based skate shoe brand blends high-performance innovation with everyday comfort. Born from a love of skateboarding’s never-ending evolution, their skate shoes fuse the durability and precision of climbing, running and other outdoor sports footwear with a feel-good, all-day wearability. The debut models – 1PM and 1.30PM – feature grippy rubber rands, asymmetrical precision fits, and cushy EVA midsoles, making them as functional on the board as they are off it. Co-founders Basile Lapray and Bram De Cleen, working in partnership with All Triangles’ Julien Traverse, have crafted shoes inspired by skate sessions that stretch into the afternoon and beyond. Built for skaters who demand more from their shoes, Village PM is here to push things forward. Discover Village PM and their fresh take on skate shoes here at NOTE.
About Village PM
For better or for worse, skate shoes have always evolved, but Village PM is taking things just that one step further. Inspired by the way modern skaters treat their footwear – switching between skate shoes and ‘real’ shoes – the brand has created something that does both. Performance-driven but comfortable enough to wear all day, the first two silhouettes, the 1PM and 1.30PM, combine outdoor footwear technology and industry know-how with skate-specific design.
What is Village PM?
Founded by Basile Lapray and Bram De Cleen, Village PM is a product of skateboarding’s ongoing reinvention. After years working on high-performance footwear for elite outdoor brands at All Triangles, Lapray saw the potential for something new. Partnering with ex-employer Julien Traverse and leveraging their joint expertise, the team set out to create a shoe that skaters wouldn’t want to take off after a session.
The result? A fresh take on skate footwear that prioritises both form and function – something that definitely peaked the interest of NOTE HQ. Featuring an asymmetrical precision fit that hugs the foot naturally, a manually applied rubber rand for optimal flick and durability, and a drop-in EVA midsole that balances impact protection with board feel, Village PM shoes are built to last – and look dope while doing it. On top of that these beauts are also made to be repaired – a dream for all of us who have not wanted to part ways with a shoe that’s treated us well.
Who rides for Village PM?
The brand hosts a stacked crew out the gate with team riders like Thaynan Costa, Nicolas Gisonno, and Logan Da Silva Ortiz. All of whom feature in their first skate video – First Times Are Special. Inspired by the all-consuming afternoons spent skating with friends, the brand embodies that feeling of pushing things further than planned, ending up somewhere new. The brains behind the brand and the skate team exemplify this ethos.
Why Village PM?
This isn’t just another skate shoe – it’s a new way of thinking about what skate footwear can be. Rooted in progression, engineered for performance, and designed to be worn well beyond the session, Village PM is pushing things forward and we’re big fans
