éS Footwear launched in 1995 as a subsidiary of Etnies to fill the need for a new type of skate shoe, it was a brand that pushed the limits of advanced footwear design and catered to the demands of the core, technical skateboarder. Under the leadership of British ex-pro skateboarder Don Brown the brand went on to enjoy considerable success and he put together a super team with the likes of Koston, Penny, Muska, Creager, Burnquist, SLB, Arto and P-Rod all having skated éS shoes. Styles changed and the team moved on resulting in the éS brand taking a hiatus in 2012 only to return 2 years later producing limited runs of some of their classic shoe styles which have been getting snapped up by fans of the brand ever since.
