Buy Enjoi skateboard decks, wheels, t-shirts, hoods and sweaters. Enjoi’s company mantra is ‘enjoy skateboarding; have fun!’ – the Enjoi crew don’t take themselves too seriously, as can be seen by the personality of their riders and the often hilarious content of their print ads and graphics. Enjoi’s logo is a stylised panda. San Jose’s Louie Barletta is currently the brand manager as well as being pro for the company.
Enjoi released its first video, Bag of Suck, in 2006. The video was met with universal acclaim and won Transworld Skateboarding’s ‘Skate Video of the Year’ award in 2007. Jerry Hsu (who has since departed Enjoi) won the “Best Video Part” award at the same ceremony.
The follow up to Bag of Suck came in the form of an 18-minute video entitled Tweak The Beef, which was released in December 2012 in conjunction with Thrasher Magazine. This video showcased the talents of existing riders as well as introducing newer additions to the team including Zach Wallin and Ryan Lay, and some stand out footage from the UK’s Ben Raemers, who hails from Walton-On-The-Naze, Essex but is currently doing his thing in the U.S of A.
The Enjoi pro team benefits from the skills of long-time bionic destroyer Cairo Foster, the Netherland’s hard-to-pronounce Wieger Van Wageningen, magical clown Louie Barletta and Adidas Skateboarding team rider Nestor Judkins. This heavy squad is reinforced by the likes of smooth San Jose operator Jose Rojo and former Mystery rider Jimmy Carlin who seems to have found a more suitable home for his trademark comic antics. With Barletta at the helm it’s safe to say that the good times and silliness vibe of Enjoi is in safe hands.
