Karl was introduced to skating in 1986 by Nick Lockman and in 2018 the pair launched Maxallure "to bring together our years of passion, perseverance and love of skateboarding to create something truly unique". Their companies team consists Deandre "Lil Dre" Thebpanya, Jonathan Perez, Tafari Whitter, De Marquis McDaniels and Marcello Campanello.
