Skateboard Bolts

No skateboard set up is complete without a set of 8 bolts. These countersunk bolts go in the holes drilled in the deck, through the holes in the truck baseplate and with a few turns of a nyloc nut hold the skateboard together. It's a simple but essential job and there's a couple of things to consider when choosing.

About Skateboard Bolts

  • Size. Bolts come in different lengths with ⅞" being just about long enough to hold a standard skateboard together. 1" bolts are the most popular as these are long enough to allow the nut to work a little loose and still hold the truck to the deck. You only need the longer  1¼" or 1½" bolts if you choose the optional extra of skateboard Riser Pads.
  • Head. When it comes to putting a skateboard together you can choose if you prefer to use an allen key or a phillips head screwdriver. They tend to cost the same and both do a great job but here at NOTE we all prefer allen key bolts.
