Perth, Australia. Est. 2008.

Butter Goods

Garth Mariano and Matt Evans grew up skating the sun-bleached streets of Perth and clocked years behind the helm in local skate shops. Over that time, the pair saw plenty of Australian brands they grew up with disappear – so they wanted to do something about it.
They quit their jobs, got stuck into graphic design, and printed their first run of tees. That was 2008. As Garth put it: “we really wanted to create something like what we idolised as kids.”

That DIY spirit still runs through Butter Goods clothing today. The graphics pull from skate videos, jazz records, hip-hop, and the wider cultural soup that raised them. It’s arguably the reason why its become such a mainstay at NOTE and why every season seems to get better better.

From Madlib to the Smurfs

Collab Kings

Madlib. Miles Davis. Peanuts. The Smurfs. Umbro. PUMA. DC Shoes.

Butter Goods are known around these parts as the collab kings, the Partnership players and the licensing legends, and when you see the long list of top-tier brands they’ve worked with its obvious why. All of their collaborations fit perfectly with the brands identity. Jazz and hip-hop obsessions link up with Madlib and Miles Davis. Cartoon nostalgia brings in Peanuts and the Smurfs. Proper sports heritage lands with Umbro and PUMA

Same goes for the team.

Philly Santosuosso, Dougie George, Adilson Pedro, Ben Gore – this isn’t just a list of riders repping tees. Several have designed their own Butter Goods capsule collections, which tells you everything about how the brand operates.

About Butter Goods

Consistently providing the best graphic t-shirts that a skateboard or streetwear company has to offer, it's easy to see why Butter Goods has such a keen following. The combination of well-thought out graphics, using high quality materials, and providing consistently legitimate visual output has rendered Butter Goods well and truly a staff and customer favourite. Recent years have also seen Butter Goods spearheading the resurgence of '90s inspired denim, and their wide array of jeans have proven ever popular, and have led to a whole swathe of baggy-jean clad youth passing through the doors at NOTE. You'll also have witnessed some of your favourite pros who are not sponsored by Butter Goods sporting the dope denim, Carlisle Aikens included. To date we have seen Butter Goods collaborate with DC, Puma, HUF and Peanuts to bring some interesting garments to the skateboard and streetwear market. Their team consists of Philly Santosuosso, Morgan Campbell, Casey Foley, Alex Schmidt and Ben Gore.
