Nike SB Why So Sad? Dunk and Bruin
Why So Sad? is an ongoing exploration into the nature of mental health founded by John Rattray. After losing his sister to suicide and dealing with depression himself, John developed the project in 2017. The approach of Why So Sad? is to encourage everyone to discuss and explore the nature of mental health by sharing stories of what people have lived through. Please visit the Nike SB Why So Sad? website to read the stories of John and Chris Jones and find a list of organisations and resources that could be useful if you or anyone you know needs help.
Nike SB have worked with Why So Sad? to produce two special shoes that highlight the cause. The shoes feature wear away swooshes to signify emotional changes and cycling/skating embroidered birds inspired by the awareness missions the group have been involved with. The Nike SB Why So Sad? Bruin High Premium Shoes Light Chocolate/Light Blue-Monarch is available in store and online from NOTE now. The Nike SB Why So Sad? Dunk Low PRM Shoes Coastal Blue/Coastal Blue-Light Blue will be available via a newsletter release at 8:00pm Thursday 24th November. The email will go out to our best and most loyal customers that subscribe to the newsletter. If we have any remaining pairs left after the newsletter release, they will be available in store at 10:00am Friday 25th November in NOTE Thomas Street with any unsold pairs being made available online later in the day to all our UK and European shoppers (unfortunately we cannot sell Nike to the rest of the world). First come, first served and one pair per customer.
