Nike SB Dunk "Som Tum" Release Information

It looks like the NOTE Biscuits Dunk is not the only food inspired dunk on the Nike SB roster this year! The skate shoe giant is set to release a fresh dunk into the ether taking cues from one of Thailand’s national dishes – Som Tum.

What is Som Tum?

While many will know of the many curry and noodle dishes associated with Thailand. Som Tum, also known as a Thai Papaya Salad, is also a wonder enjoyed across the South East Asian Country. Som Tum is a Thai dish made from shredded green papaya, chilli, lime, fish sauce – the full works. Sweet, sour, spicy, salty… all kicking off at once. The Nike SB Som Tum Details

This dunk is an absolute doozy, with every part contributing to its storytelling.

You’ve got woven hemp across the upper designed to mimic rice bags (yep… actual rice bags). It’s rough, textured, and bang on for that “better with wear” SB feel.

Under that there’s suede panels, earthy brown midsoles, and those Bright Crimson laces matching the contrasting stitching and cutting through everything like a rogue chilli.
