This Thursday, yours truly will be dropping the highly anticipated Nike SB Dunk Low Verdy “Visty” – a wild mashup of Blue Gaze, Arctic Pink, and Bicycle Yellow that’s already causing waves across the internet-sphere also known as the world wide web. Whether you’re a longtime SB fan or someone who appreciates Verdy’s signature Japanese street art, this is the collab to get your grubby mitts on.

Who is Verdy

Verdy, the creative force behind Girls Don’t Cry and Wasted Youth, has made a name for himself with his playful, bold approach to street art and design. Hailing from Japan, his work often features vibrant colours, cartoonish characters, and messages that have resonated globally. This isn’t Verdy’s first collaboration with Nike SB either – his 2019 Girls Don’t Cry Dunk Low became an instant classic, featuring a heart logo and red-and-white colourway that people still rave about.

Let’s start with the standout features, shall we? The fuzzy, hairy texture on the toe box, mid panel, tongue, and heel collar adds a tactile depth you don’t see every day. Then there’s the smooth pink leather swoosh – a subtle touch that contrasts beautifully against the pastel blue corduroy upper, a real discombobulating combination of materials. It’s certainly a shoe that doesn’t hold back, and that’s before we even mention the vibrant yellow midsole and matching laces, bringing that extra pop of colour we love with the more "out there" dunks.

Yes the names of colours on this shoe make no sense (we're not sure what bicycle yellow is) but this shoe is definitely fighting its way to the top of the releases of the year list in a very pastel get-up. We're quite impressed to put it mildly.

Nike SB X Verdy Visty Ishod Wair Max

Nike SB have also decided to give the Verdy treatment to the Ishod Wair Max, which we're also stoked to have on the NOTE shelves. While they don't feature all of the same mad fabric used on the dunk they do have the candy floss flavoured colours all over the shoe.
