Limosine X Nike SB Dunk Release

Over the years Nike SB have put out some heavy hitting dunks. The type of skate shoes that aren’t for everyone but when you look back they’re held up by many as one of the greats. We’re talking the Grateful Dead set, the Lobster Dunks, even the likes of the Travis Scott dunk or Chunky Dunky Ben & Jerry's dunk – not for everyone, but perfect for the ones who get it. 

This new Limosine X Nike SB Dunk is no different.

The Limosine team have pulled out an absolute doozy of dunk with this American football-inspired dunk. We say inspired... but these are quite literally an American football. We're massive fans of Limo and their team, these Nikes remind us of dunks of yore and we're excited to see these hit terra firma next week.

Limo X Nike SB Dunk

The Limosine Nike SB Dunk Low Pro features an upper made of quality American football-textured leather, a printed on silver-outlined Swoosh (you can still feel the leather’s texture beneath) and a solid black outsole. At it’s core, it’s a decent timeless combo of brown and black that wears well with pretty much everything and the textured leather no doubt will be a joy to skate.

A closer look at this mad dunk reveals the detail that take it up a tier. Starting with the branding, the dunk features the limo logo on the lateral heel areas while the Paymaster artwork is on the medial heel of the shoes. The limo logo is also featured on the bright blue sockliner (insole to us brits) along with the Nike SB logo, while more branding can be seen on the heel tabs in a font that’s collegiate. 

By far our favourite detail on this wonder-dunk is on the tongue. You can see it when they’re laced up but when you’re swapping out the shoelaces (of which there are five pairs), you’ll get a clearer look at another sharp pull from an American football – the lacing or stitching that keeps the ole’ pig skin together.

These are definitely one of the most unique dunks we’ve seen this year and we’re sure they won’t stick around long.
