Introducing... The NOTE X Nike SB Dunk "Biscuits"
Roll out the red carpet, sound the alarm and dish out the chocolate digestives – NOTE has partnered with none other than Nike SB on our very own special Dunk.
For years we’ve been humble stockists of Nike SB, playing the role of “selecta”, bringing the best and most limited bits from the skate shoe juggernaut to Thomas Street. But today we’re happy to announce that behind the scenes we’ve been in cahoots with the Oregon-based brand for a couple of years now, donning our proverbial aprons to cook up our very own wearable concoction.
Introducing…

The NOTE x Nike SB ‘Biscuit & Brew’ Dunk Low Pro
After months of tinkering, copious amounts of tea and an ungodly number of biscuits (all strictly in the name of research), we’ve cooked up a Dunk that’s an absolute doozy. Call us biased, but we reckon it’s easily one of the best SBs of the year – maybe even the decade.
From the very beginning we wanted to create a Nike SB Dunk that harked back to some of the great storytelling collaborations of the past – pairs like the Ben & Jerry’s x Nike SB Dunk Low “Chunky Dunky” or the Grateful Dead x Nike SB Dunk Low – where every inch of the shoe tells a story and the list of details is about as long as a Matalan till receipt.
OK that’s enough waffle - let’s have a gander at the dunk.
The Idea
In Manchester, much like the rest of the country, a cup of tea and a biscuit are fundamental parts of daily life. Something good’s happened? Put the kettle on and grab a bourbon. Something sad’s occurred? Sit down, have a cuppa and a rich tea.
It’s no different at NOTE on Thomas Street. In fact, a fair portion of the working day is fuelled by tea and biscuit-based deliberation. Discussions around the best biscuit for dunking have taken up many an hour (and occasionally entire afternoons) on the shop floor.

Apparently this national obsession dates all the way back to the 16th century, which means we’re arguably continuing a long and noble tradition.
So when it came time to design our own Nike SB Dunk, the inspiration was obvious: biscuits and brews.
The Upper
Starting with the upper, we’ve gone with some of the supplest suede ever to grace a Dunk. And, in a rich brew-inspired hue that’s been unanimously confirmed by both Workers and Lurkers as the optimal strength of tea for tackling a full day behind the helm at NOTE.

Strong enough to keep the gears turning. Not so strong it puts hairs on your chest.
The Sole
This brew-coloured upper sits neatly atop the cleanest all-white cupsole imaginable. The idea here was simple – we wanted the whole thing to resemble a teacup (or teacupsole, if you will).
Think of the sort of pristine fine china your nan only brings out for special occasions… like the unlikely event of Corrie’s Gail Platt popping round for a brew.

Flip the shoe over and you’ll spot an unmistakable sight, every tea drinkers nightmare and the sort of stain you try (and fail) to hide when you make a spill round someone’s gaff.
The Swooshes
If tea is the lifeblood of a UK skate shop, biscuits are undoubtedly the fuel. Nine times out of ten, if you ask one of the Thomas Street workers “What’s behind the helm?”, you’ll likely find a stash consisting of loose filters, a couple of skins and crucially a packet of biscuits.
Custard creams.
Chocolate digestives.
Jammy Dodgers.
Pink wafers (reserved for special occasions).
Naturally, these became the inspiration for the Nike Swooshes.

With the NOTE Dunk you get three interchangeable biscuit Swooshes: Chocolate Digestive. Classic Biscuit. Pink Wafer.
Each attaches via highly practical velcro, meaning you can switch up your flavour depending on the mood. After extensive testing we can confirm these bad boys won’t come flying off your foot the moment you flick your board.
The Details
And the biscuit-based goodness doesn’t stop there.
You’ll find a selection of our favourite biscuit varieties dotted across the insole, sockliner and laces, alongside three additional lace options in case biscuits aren’t really your thing (although if that’s the case we’re not entirely sure this Dunk is for you).
Around the back you’ll find the iconic NOTE “Love” park logo stitched onto the heel.
Flip the tongue and you’ll spot a bit of our in-house brew-strength research, charting the wide spectrum of acceptable tea strengths.

There’s even a small surprise hidden beneath the insole but we’ll leave that for you to discover if you manage to snag a pair.
Each pair comes complete with a special SB Tea Tag, and we’ll also have plenty of limited launch ephemera available for those who make the pilgrimage down to Thomas Street on release day.
The Launch
To get your grubby mitts on a pair of Nike SB X NOTE Dunk "Biscuits", head down to the event on Wednesday.
More details on the online launch coming soon…
So stick the kettle on, grab a biscuit and keep your eyes peeled
This one’s a proper brew.
