adidas Skateboarding Glenburn First Look

What do we have here then? It looks like the trefoil lab technicians have been working hard. Fusing some classic terrace cues and of course some skate shoe know-how, the adidas Glenburn is one of the cleanest shoes to ever grace the three stripe stockade. And lucky enough for you, you snag a pair at NOTE in the coming days.

Dubbed a “universal shoe” by the three stripes crew, the Glenburn is all about wearability – and we’d tend to agree. It’s got a pretty low-key design and the adidas head-honcho’s are calling it a blank canvas – something that anyone can adapt to their own style. That tracks.

Under the bonnet? Plenty going on. The toe box gets a dual-layer suede wrap to keep blowouts at bay, while a mix of leather, suede and lightweight breathable nylon (depending on colourway) balances support and airflow. The outsole is plimsole-inspired, which basically means grip and boardfeel without the break-in slog. If you’re looking for a clean shoe that can handle a fair bit of skating and “crending” this one’s worth a look.

Colour options tick a lot of boxes too - crisp terrace white and green with a gum sole, tonal greys, black/white classics, and a punchy blue/navy combo that’s a particular favourite.

You can get your grubby mitts on this doozy of a skate shoe on the 1st of February. In the meantime, peruse some tasty pics of the shoes in actions.
