Shop now for Glassy Sunhaters sunglasses. Glassy Sunhaters was founded in the US in 2012 as a joint venture between Girl Skateboards professional Mike Mo Capaldi and his brother Vince Capaldi. The brand produces quality sunglasses and sponsors an impressive team of skateboarders including Brandon Biebel, Mike Carroll and Daewon Song. Many of the team riders have been selected from the extended Girl Skateboards family.

The name ‘Glassy’ is a pun on ‘classy’, with the brand priding themselves on the inherent style of their designs – the tagline of many of their advertisements is ‘keep it glassy’. Glassy co-founder Mike Mo Capaldi rose to fame and fortune as part of the Girl Skateboards family, taking the skate world by storm with his impressive opening part in Lakai footwear’s epic full-length skate video ‘Fully Flared’. Capaldi proved once and for all that he was a technical skateboarding force to be reckoned with when he won the first Battle at the Berrics, a now annual ‘game of S.K.A.T.E’ tournament, beating the UK’s Benny Fairfax in a close-fought final to take the title. It’s lucky that Mike Mo has found such success through skateboarding, as he modestly explained in a 2013 interview that if he wasn't a professional skateboarder, he would most likely be working in a skate shop, or a Foot Locker store after failing at basketball.

Along with representing the sunglasses brand himself, Mike Mo has enlisted the services of other notable professional skaters who he looks up to to help promote Glassy. The company has produced signature model shades for a range of skateboarding legends including Stefan Janoski, Sean Malto, Daewon Song, Chad Tim Tim and Mike Mo himself.
