The Powerpuff Girls Unite with Nike SB for New Dunks: A Detailed Look into the Collection

If you're a fan of 90s cartoons and unique skate shoe designs, you're in for a treat! Over the years we’ve seen a lot of dunks, but this set is definitely going to spark some conversations to say the least.

The much-awaited Powerpuff Girls x Nike SB Dunk Low collection is soon to hit the NOTE shelves, and these dunk doozies are some of the boldest we’ve laid our eyes upon.

A Collaboration Made in Cartoon Heaven

It's not every day that your favourite childhood superheroes team up with one of the biggest names in the skateboarding world. But this time, Nike SB has teamed up with the beloved cartoon show to deliver a Dunk Low collection that's sure to make waves.

The collaboration has been a hot topic since it was first rumoured in March, and not without reason. The Powerpuff Girls, which aired from 2004 to 2009, has held a special place in many hearts, and the reboot last year only reignited the hype fans have for the show. Now, with Nike SB on board, we're about to experience a tsunami of childhood nostalgia that’s likely to have Mojo Jojo quivering in his boots.

The Powerpuff Trio: Buttercup, Bubbles, and Blossom

The collection features three unique Dunk Lows, each inspired by one member of the Powerpuff trio.

Buttercup

The "Buttercup" Nike SB skateboard shoe boasts a green satin upper, paired with black Swooshes, laces, and a midsole that sits atop a translucent outsole. The embroidered heel depicts Buttercup's eyes and themed touches on the tongue tag and sockliner. The low-cut silhouette is positioned atop a sturdy midnight black sole, bolstered by a semi-transparent, verdant-tinted rubber outsole. These green dunks will definitely make you do a double take.

Bubbles

The "Bubbles" Nike SB skate shoe showcases a shimmering textured blue leather upper. The interior is lined with glossy satin and adorned with black piping and a vibrant yellow Swoosh. Like the "Buttercup" pair, the heel tabs are enlarged to resemble Bubbles' blue eyes, and the Powerpuff Girls logo is featured on a repeated pattern found on each padded tongue. The sneaker is supported by a sturdy cupsole with black sidewalls and a translucent rubber outsole with a hint of blue tint.

Blossom

The "Blossom" Nike SB Dunk Low is next up in the roster and it’s real humdinger. This edition features a striking pink nubuck upper, complemented by an orange Swoosh and reflective black piping. The padded collar and stuffed tongue are lined with luxurious satin. Notable design elements include Blossom's iconic large eyes embroidered on each heel tab, accompanied by custom graphic insoles. And yes, you guessed it right, the orange accents across the shoe represent Blossom's iconic red hair. The skate shoe is complete with a black midsole, fortified by a translucent rubber outsole with a subtle pink hue.

How To Buy The Powerpuff Girls Dunks

To get your grubby mitts on this set of dunks, all three will be available from releases.noteshop.co.uk on Thursday the 14^th of December. The first opportunity to buy the Nike SB Powerpuff Girls Collection will go to our most loyal and best customers that subscribe to our email newsletter (subscribe below). The email will be sent at 8:00am 14/12/2023 to a limited number of people that our computer algorithm has identified as good NOTE customers. All your in store and online purchases count towards getting chosen as long as you use your email when you check out. We do this to ensure that only real people get to order one pair and the stock doesn't get gobbled up by greedy bots or gangs of proxies. Please don't ask us to put you on the newsletter list, simply subscribe and the more you shop with us the more likely you are to get the releases email.  If we have any remaining pairs left after the newsletter release, they will be available in store later in the day at NOTE Thomas Street.

For this release everyone who is sent the release email has a shot at getting all three dunks of the collection. You are limited to one of each colourway, meaning you could come away with three new pairs of skate shoes by lunchtime on Thursday.
