We’ve got a first look at the much-anticipated Nike SB x Welcome Madrid Zoom Blazer Mid Shoes in Sail/Dark Beetroot-White. Dropping on January 11 at 8am GMT these beauts are not just shoes; they're a tribute to a shop and culture holding it down in the streets of Madrid.

The Zoom Blazer Mid Shoes are a homage to the skating and character encapsulated by Welcome Skateshop's profound influence on the local skate scene. This collaboration is a seamless blend of Nike SB's innovation and Welcome's deep-rooted connection to Madrid skateboarding. With every element, from the design to the functionality, these sneakers embody the passion and creativity that have fuelled Madrid's skate culture for decades.

Crafted with a meticulous eye for detail, the skate shoes feature a pristine tumbled leather upper that reveals a hidden dark beetroot shade as they wear out, which seems a recurring Nike SB feature we’ve loved from day one. Star-shaped perforations and a houndstooth pattern add a touch of Madrid's vibrant streets to the design. The unique "Casa Welcome Madrid" phrase stamped onto the heel, topped with a braided leather panel, is a testament to the city's skate heritage and Welcome Skateshop's pivotal role in it.

One of our favourite features of these doozies is the custom sockliner art, which is a tribute to the Welcome familia. This unique design element is inspired by the camaraderie that form the backbone of Madrid's skate culture – if you’ve been to Madrid you know what we’re talking about.

But that's not all. The sneakers also feature an iconic take on tapas, integrating a slice of Madrid's renowned culinary art into their design.
